HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect this information:

  1. Directly from you (the parent) when you create an account for your child
  2. From your child's use of the platform (progress data, voice tutor transcripts)
  3. From an institution if a school has assigned the Service to your child and has obtained your consent as required by applicable law

We do not collect information about children under 13 from third-party sources.

HOW WE GET YOUR CONSENT

Direct accounts (parent-created): Before a child under 13 may use the Service, we require verifiable parental consent through our consent verification process. This involves:

  1. A parent or guardian creating the account and providing their own email address
  2. Receiving a consent verification email at the parent's address
  3. Reviewing this Children's Privacy Notice and our Privacy Policy
  4. Affirmatively confirming consent

We do not permit children under 13 to create independent accounts. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, we will immediately suspend the account and notify the email address on file.

Institutional accounts: When a school assigns LOTSOG Learning to students under 13, the school acts as agent for parents in obtaining COPPA consent, provided the school has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with us and has obtained appropriate written parental consent consistent with COPPA's school official exception.
